FALMOUTH (CBS) – Police are investigating a homicide in Falmouth. The Cape & Islands District Attorney’s office said one person was killed and a second person was injured Monday night.

Police were called to the CapeWind Waterfront Resort around 6:40 p.m.

Danielle Taylor, 30, of Mashpee was found unconscious on the floor, the D.A. said. She was rushed to Falmouth Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

A man was found on the bed with “obvious injuries to his neck and hand.” He was med-flighted to a hospital in Rhode Island. His identity has not been released at this time.

The D.A. said it appeared the two people were previously in a relationship.
