Police Investigating Attempted Rape In Boston Public Garden

BOSTON (CBS) – Police are investigating an attempted rape in Boston Public Garden.

At 6 a.m. on Monday, a woman said she was walking inside the park when a man approached her and put his hand over her mouth.

She said he made sexually explicit threats to her and tried to take off her clothes. The woman was able to break away.

The suspect is described as a Black man in his 20s or 30s with a slim to medium build and short black dreadlocks.

Many people in the area Monday night were surprised and concerned, but some who walk there daily said something has been off in recent months.

"I'm not surprised at all because the garden is so beautiful but there's nobody watching over the garden, and when there's nobody watching over the garden it's lawless," said Meagan Graham.

If you have any information call Boston Police.
