Celtics Schedule For Seeding Games In Orlando Released

BOSTON (CBS) -- Celtics basketball be back soon. So very soon.

At least we hope it will, considering the NBA will resume action down in Orlando next month, and the state of Florida is not going in the right direction when it comes to COVID-19. But the league and players association agreed to the final guidelines of the restart on Friday afternoon, and the schedule for the end of the regular season -- the NBA's seeding games ahead of the playoffs -- was released on Friday night.

Here are Boston's eight remaining games before the playoffs tip off:

Friday, July 31 at Milwaukee Bucks – 6:30PM

Sunday, August 2 vs. Portland Trail Blazers – 3:30 PM

Tuesday, August 4 at Miami Heat – 6:30PM

Wednesday, August 5 vs. Brooklyn Nets – 9PM

Friday, August 7 at Toronto Raptors – 9PM

Sunday, August 9 vs. Orlando Magic – 5PM

Tuesday, August 11 at Memphis Grizzlies – 6:30PM

Thursday, August 13 vs. Washington Wizards – TBD

The Celtics have some tough matchups, including potential playoff previews against the bucks, Heat and Raptors, but they also have a chance to climb in the Eastern Conference Standings. Boston currently sit as the No. 3 seed in the East at 43-21 -- three games back of the Raptors for the two-seed and 2.5 games ahead of the Heat.

The C's do have some difficult matchups ahead, but the Raptors have an even tougher schedule. In addition to a game against Boston, Toronto will face the Lakers, Heat, Magic, Grizzlies, Bucks, 76ers, and Nuggets to close the regular season. If the Celtics can take care of business on their end, they have a real shot at jumping to the No. 2 seed if Toronto struggles.

The Celtics are set to arriving in Orlando on July 8 and will open training camp a few days later, with games tipping off on July 30. The NBA playoffs are set to begin on Aug. 17.
