Auburn Police Tranquilize And Relocate Bear

AUBURN (CBS) -- Police in Auburn successfully tranquilized and relocated a bear Friday.

Police Chief Andrew Sluckis wrote on Twitter that the bear made it through a hole in a fence near Interstate 290. The bear was tranquilized with the help of Massachusetts State Police.

The bear was determined to be a year old. The chief said it was just kicked out of the den by its mother. It was treated to an ice cool down before being relocated.
