3 Manchester, NH Police Officers Stabbed During Domestic Incident

MANCHESTER, NH (CBS) – Three police officers were stabbed during a domestic incident in Manchester, New Hampshire Tuesday afternoon.

Manchester Police responded to 6 Ahern Street and gave multiple commands for the suspect, 18-year-old Akwasi Owusu, to come out of a room. When he did not comply, officers entered the room and there was a struggle.

"Police did not know Owusu had a hidden knife which he began to swing, stabbing three officers as they tried to arrest him," Manchester Police said.

The officers suffered non-life threatening injuries and were taken to the hospital. One officer has already been released.

Owusu was arrested and charged with three counts of first degree assault for the attack on the officers. He was also charged with Criminal Mischief for the altercation involving a family member and Second Degree Assault.

Owusu will be arraigned in Hillsborough Superior Court Wednesday.
