"He was on the ground moaning when I got out of my car," said Wendy Hajjar, who lives nearby. "It's very sad. It's very sad. I just hope he's OK."

Neighbors say the boy rides his bike on the street almost every day wearing headphones.

"He rides anywhere he wants and that's just one of the concerns we had, we've talked to him several times," said Jack Kuchar. "I heard the moaning, he was really upset with what was going on obviously, he was on the ground."

Police are investigating the accident. No criminal charges have been filed.
