5-Year-Old Girl Rescued From Near-Drowning In Methuen

METHUEN (CBS) - A 5-year-old girl is recovering in the hospital after being pulled unconscious from a pool Thursday evening.

According to the Methuen Fire Department, the girl was found floating in the pool of Appleton Square Condominiums on East Street at about 6:30 p.m. Bystanders pulled the girl from the pool and began CPR on her.

When EMTs arrived on the scene, they were able to get the girl breathing again. She was conscious when she was transported to Lawrence General Hospital.
