STOUGHTON (CBS) – A man was found shot in the head outside a home in Stoughton overnight.

Police shut down part of Pleasant Street after the 29-year-old man was found seriously wounded behind a house there around 10 p.m. Sunday.

Investigators said the shooting was not random. The victim was shot once in the head and was rushed to a Boston hospital, where he is being treated for life-threatening injuries.

His name has not been made public. There have been no arrests.

“It’s so scary because we have a 15-moth old,” neighbor Rachel Mahmood told WBZ-TV. “This never happens here, ever. Everybody knows everybody.”
