16-Year-Old Arrested In Fall River Murder

FALL RIVER (CBS) - A 16-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing in Fall River.

Police were called to an apartment on Fountain Street just before midnight for a report of a young man stabbed during an argument. Officers say they found 17-year-old William Wheeler on the floor with a stab wound.

He was rushed to St. Anne's Hospital, where he died early Thursday morning.

Police say Wheeler had a friend over Wednesday night and there was an argument, reportedly over a pillow.

The suspect, a 16-year-old from Fall River, was arrested Thursday night in West Warwick, RI and charged with Wheeler's murder. The suspect's identity has not been released.

Neighbors say Wheeler and his mother had been living in the apartment for about a year.
