ANDOVER (CBS) – An Andover school bus was involved in a crash Thursday afternoon, though none of the 20 students on board were injured.
The crash involving bus No. 3 happened around 2:30 p.m., Andover High School principal Philip Conrad said.
Red Spring Road is closed as a result of the crash.
Andover Police descried the crash as “low-speed.” The crash involved a minivan that suffered damage.
According to the school district, the minivan with two people inside swiped the bus. Because of the impact, the bus crashed into a telephone pole.
“We are grateful there are no injuries as a result of this accident,” the district said in a statement.
Following the crash, the bus’ front wheels were up an incline, causing the vehicle to tilt to one side.
Parents were coming to the scene of the crash to pick up their children.
Police do not yet know what caused the crash. No charges have been filed at this time.
