Weston Police Searching For Suspicious Man

WESTON (CBS) -- Police are searching for a man who they said acted suspiciously toward a 10-year-old boy over the weekend.

Weston Police say the boy told them he was walking on Brook Road around 2:30 p.m. Sunday when a man driving a black Volkswagen Passat turned around in a driveway near him.

The boy told police that the man sped up next to him, stopped the car, got out of the driver's side door, and moved toward him.

"It's scary," said neighbor Jane Carlson. "To think that people are after our children."

After the boy screamed and ran, he said the man drove off in the direction of Valley View road.

"This community and this neighborhood usually is very safe," said Hong Lu. "It's a surprise to me."

Police would like anyone who might recognize the man or the car to contact them.
