Bourne Girl Grabbed While Walking To Bus Stop

BOURNE (CBS) – Police are searching for a man who allegedly grabbed and threw a 14-year-old girl to the ground as she walked to her school bus stop in Bourne.

Officers were called to Puritan Road just before 7 a.m. on Thursday.

The victim told police she was grabbed from behind and thrown to the ground by a man who she does not know.

Police say the man then grabbed the girl by the neck, but a witness intervened and the suspect fled. The girl was uninjured.

The suspect is described as a white man who is medium height with grey stubble on his face. He is possibly in his late 20s or early 30s.

Detectives believe the man was driving a light color older model sedan with a license plate possibly containing "SW" or "5W."

Bourne Police said there is no indication that other children are at risk.
