Six Flags New England's Goliath Roller Coaster Shut Down After Malfunction
AGAWAM (CBS) – Six Flags New England's Goliath roller coaster was closed to riders after a malfunction on Monday.
A spokeswoman for the amusement park said there was a small problem with a cable on the ride, which was not in operation at the time.
"The ride will remain closed until the part has been replaced, and we will reopen the ride following a full safety inspection," she said in a statement.
The boomerang-like super coaster zips riders around the track at speeds of almost 65 miles per hour and reaches heights of 194 feet.
