FAA Investigates Possible Laser Pointed At Plane In Boston
BOSTON (AP) — The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating after a pilot reported that a laser may have been pointed at the plane he was operating as it landed at Boston's Logan International Airport.
The captain of Porter Airlines Flight 951 heading to Boston from Toronto reported seeing a green light at around 10 p.m. Monday about eight miles out from the airport at an altitude of about 2,000 feet. The light appeared to be from an area north of the airport.
The plane landed safely and the pilot acknowledged in an interview with state police that the light he saw may have been July Fourth fireworks.
No injuries were reported.
The incident remains under investigation.
