Neighbor Sava Kelasidis told WBZ-TV’s Chantee Lans he called 911 after the man had been attacked at his Upload Road home on May 27. He was hospitalized following the incident.

“The old man was (on) the stairs and I saw blood on (his elbow) and his knee, but I did not know there was a head injury as well,” he said.

Neighbors Gerry Pistorio and Stephen Mosca say that “it’s sad” what happened to Chermesino. Chermesino’s son told WBZ that his father was a good man and did not deserve this.
