Someone wanted the world to think Goodell’s death became a reality and hacked the NFL’s Twitter account on Tuesday afternoon, erroneously reporting Goodell’s “death.” The tweet was quickly deleted, but, this being the internet, will live on forever thanks to screenshots.
The Goodell death tweet became perhaps the briefest death hoax in history, as top NFL reporters (as well as NFL PR man Brian McCarthy) swiftly took to Twitter to confirm that the commissioner is indeed alive.READ MORE: Patriots Take Over Top Seed In AFC After Ravens Lose To Steelers
