Watertown Police Seek Owner Of 'Severely Emaciated' Pit Bull
WATERTOWN (CBS) – Police are looking for the owner of a "severely emaciated" pit bull that wandered into a Watertown Home Depot.
Watertown Police said the dog was found Saturday around 6 a.m. at Home Depot on Arsenal Street.
The dog has multiple lesions, and police say they may be cigarette burns.
In addition, the pit bull's ears each have a small notch cut into them.
The dog weighs about 26 pounds, which is less than half of what the healthy weight should be for the breed of dog, police said.
Police are identifying the animal as "Sully Doe" until it is properly identified.
Anyone who knows the dog's owner is asked to contact Watertown Animal Control Officer Karen O'Reilly at (617) 972-6446.
