BOSTON (CBS) - Once upon a time, Massachusetts required high school students to pass a U.S. history test prior to graduating. But with the increased importance and influence of standardized testing, public education curriculums have shifted to focus more on subjects like math, science, and English. Former Massachusetts Governor Michael Dukakis and former Massachusetts Senate President Tom Birmingham join Dan in studio to talk about the need for civics in our classrooms.
