Manchester, NH Officer Shot By Robbery Suspect Released From Boston Hospital

BOSTON (CBS) -- The second of two Manchester, New Hampshire police officers shot by an armed robbery suspect early Friday morning has been released from a Boston hospital on Saturday.

Police Officer Ryan Hardy was released from Brigham and Women's Hospital. He was shot in the face and shoulder early Friday morning when he tried to question Ian MacPherson about his alleged role in a previous armed robbery.

Officer Matt O'Connor, who was also allegedly shot in the leg by MacPherson, was treated and released from a hospital prior to Hardy's release.

MacPherson has been charged with two counts of attempted capital murder.

On Saturday, the Manchester Police Patrolman's Association said a fund has been set up for the recovering officers through Members First Credit Union.
