Boston Police Seek Man Wanted In Connection With Assault Near MBTA Station

BOSTON (CBS) -- Boston Police are looking to identify a man wanted in connection with an indecent assault near an MBTA station in Dorchester in late March.

The assault occurred around 12:30 a.m. on March 26 in the area of the Ashmont MBTA Station. The victim was walking in the area of Ashmont and Florida streets before the incident took place, according to the Boston Police blog.

Police say the victim spoke with the man before he assaulted her. He was last seen running away on Ashmont Street toward Dorchester Avenue.

The suspect is described as a 25-to-30 year-old Middle Eastern man, standing between 5-foot-6-inches and 5-foot-8-inches tall, weighing 160 pounds, and wearing dark clothing.

The police department's sexual assault unit is investigating the incident.
