BOSTON (CBS) — The NFL Draft is less than a month away.

At least it is for 31 of the NFL teams. As for the Patriots, they’ll have to wait for Day 2 of the draft to make their first selection, thanks to Roger Goodell’s DeflateGate punishment that took away New England’s first-round pick this year and a fourth-round pick in 2017.

Robert Kraft wrote a little note to Goodell asking for those picks back but the commish laughed off that request, making Bill Belichick’s job a little harder come late April. But he still has 11 draft picks to work with, including five sixth rounders, and as we’ve seen the coach do several times over the years he’ll likely turn a few of those into a higher selection or more picks for future drafts. The four picks the Patriots own in the first three rounds are tied for the most with Los Angeles, Seattle and Denver, so Belichick should have the ammo to pull off a trade if he sees fit.

Here’s a quick snap shot of the Patriots’ 2016 Draft Picks, with some notable names taken in those selections over the years.
