Daily Talker: Bill To Criminalize Texting While Walking

Most everyone can get behind a law banning people from texting while driving. But what about texting while walking? A New Jersey lawmaker proposed a bill criminalizing texting while walking. Pedestrians caught texting while walking on public sidewalks and roadways could face a $50 fine and 15 days in jail. That may seem harsh, but more and more people end up going to the hospital every year from injuries due to distracted walking. Could this plan prevent people from texting and walking?
