SAUSALITO, Calif. (CBS) – For many people, the most important thing about a job is the paycheck.
With that in mind, employment website Glassdoor has compiled a new list of the top 25 jobs offering the highest salaries. The list is dominated by positions in the health care and technology industry, where there’s less competition and the risk of being replaced by automation is lower. Traditional jobs like doctor and lawyer are at the top of the list, with physicians pulling in an average of $180,000 a year.

“There’s no doubt that pay is among the leading factors most job seekers weigh when determining where to work, a Glassdoor economist says. “However, our research shows that a big paycheck isn’t necessarily tied to long-term satisfaction in your job.”
