Brady: 'Don't Really Care' About Greg Hardy's Personal Feelings

BOSTON (CBS) -- Greg Hardy made some interesting comments about Tom Brady's wife, supermodel Gisele Bundchen, on Tuesday, but the Patriots quarterback wouldn't fuel any flames on Wednesday.

Hardy, set to return from his four-game suspension and make his Cowboys debut on Sunday, said he hopes Gisele makes the trip to Dallas. He also wouldn't mind seeing her sister and friends either.

Asked about Hardy's comments at his weekly press conference on Wednesday, Brady wasn't going to waste any time of them. In true Brady fashion, he said his focus is on the field and not on the headlines the opposition is creating.

"I'm just getting ready to play. I have to focus on my job," responded Brady. "I don't really care about his personal feelings."

Brady did seem a little irked about the comments, but wouldn't let it show in his responses. He ended his availability shortly after five minutes at the podium.

"Thank you, I'm done. I have work to do," he said before walking off.

The quarterback did, however, have plenty of nice things to say about Hardy's game.

"He's a great player and it takes a lot of different things to handle a guy like that. He's been a great player since he's been in the league so we have to prepare for him and all the moves he's got," said Brady.

It's been over a year since Hardy last suited up in a game that matters, missing all but one game last season following the assault allegations. He was finally suspended for 10 games before this season for assaulting his ex-girlfriend, a ban that was later reduced to four games. He signed a one-year deal with the Cowboys in the offseason.

Hardy also said Tuesday he hopes to see Brady hit the ground a few times on Sunday. Patriots head coach Bill Belichick knows the offensive line will have to be extra vigilant with a player like Hardy, who has 34 sacks over his five-year career, roaming the field.

"He's a dynamic player," Belichick said on Wednesday. "He's a handful."

The Patriots last saw Hardy in Week 11 of the 2013 season, when he had a sack, quarterback hit and four tackles in a Carolina Panthers' win over New England. He'll have plenty to say leading up to Sunday's showdown, and will likely wreak some havoc when the two teams finally hit the field.

But don't expect the Patriots to say anything bulletin board-worthy in return.
