BOSTON (CBS) – The 50th anniversary of the Head of the Charles Regatta will be commemorated on a new version of the popular board game Monopoly.

Boston received enough votes to become one of 22 U.S. cities to be featured on the Monopoly board, produced by Rhode Island-based Hasbro.
“It is an honor for the Regatta to be the City of Boston’s representation on the new Monopoly Here & Now: U.S. Edition game,” said Head of the Charles Executive Director Fredrick Schoch. “It showcases the popularity of our city and the significance of the Regatta – a true New England event, as we celebrate our 50th anniversary. The Head of the Charles, which is free and open to the public, begins at the Boston University DeWolfe Boathouse and ends at Artesani Park in Brighton.
