Several Bears Spotted Across Dudley
DUDLEY (CBS) -- Several bears were seen across Dudley over the weekend, police said.
Police received reports of bears spotted all over town including areas near Flaxfield Road, Charlton Road, Dudley Oxford Road and Airport Road.
Fortunately, there were no close encounters.
The Massachusetts Department of Energy and Environmental Affairs warns residents to stay away from bears and encourage others to do the same.
"A gathering of people not only stresses the animal, but it adds the risk of having a bear chased out into traffic or into a group of bystanders," the agency said in a public statement Monday.
