Authorities Investigating Fatal Shooting In Manchester, NH

MANCHESTER, N.H. (CBS) - New Hampshire authorities are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Sunday afternoon in Manchester.

New Hampshire Attorney General Joseph Foster and Manchester police chief David Mara announced the investigation in a press statement Sunday night.

Officers were called to the Lake Avenue area for a report of a shooting about 3:40 p.m.

Police say they found a man outside, dead of apparent gunshot wounds.

The victim's identity won't be released until his family is notified.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday to determine the cause and manner of death.

Investigators have identified those involved in the shooting and continue to look into the incident, including a claim that the shooting was in self-defense.

No arrested have been made.
