Fire Destroys Randolph Home, 1 Hurt

RANDOLPH (CBS) – A fire destroyed a home in Randolph early Wednesday morning and left one person hurt.

Heavy flames were pouring from the basement of the house on Tiffany Drive when firefighters arrived around midnight.

The fire quickly spread through the roof, which eventually caved in.

Randolph Fire Chief Richard Donovan said three people were in the home when the fire broke out. One was hurt and taken to the hospital. There's no word yet on that person's condition.

The cause of the fire is still not known.

Neighbors told reporters they heard an explosion, but Donovan could not confirm that.

The chief said a propane tank was feeding the home at the time of the fire and that was shut down when they arrived.

Donovan said firefighters also had to deal with some water pressure issues.
