Woman Removed From NH-Bound Plane For Poking Snoring Passenger With Pen

MANCHESTER, N.H. (CBS) – A woman was removed from a plane about to depart for Manchester after she poked another passenger with a pen because he was snoring.

A Southwest Airlines official said a customer on Flight 577 in Chicago was removed just before takeoff Thursday after she used the pen to wake her snoring seatmate.

After the incident, the woman was taken off the plane. She was accommodated on a later flight.

Once the woman was removed, the plane took off as scheduled. The flight landed in Manchester at about 6 p.m.

Michael Sutton was traveling with the man who was poked. He said his friend is OK just "shocked."

On Twitter, Sutton thanked Southwest and Chicago Police for taking the "psycho woman" off the plane quickly.
