BOSTON (CBS) – Bob Socci, the voice of your New England Patriots, takes to the Sports Hub airwaves to discuss prospects, scouting reports, team needs, welcome special guests and everything else you need to know ahead of the 2015 NFL Draft every Sunday at 8am through the end of draft season!

Rang said that the Patriots’ way of going about their pre-draft business is a bit different from most teams, as Bill Belichick unsurprisingly likes to keep as much of his work as possible outside of the public eye.

“I really enjoy the process of trying to determine which player is going to fit the Patriot Way as far as not only their athletic ability, but who they are as characters on and off the field,” Rang said.

After discussing presumed No. 1 overall pick Jameis Winston, Rang said that Florida State defensive tackle Eddie Goldman is someone who could draw the Patriots’ interest.

“I think Eddie Goldman’s a very interesting player for the Patriots,” Rang said. “I think that’s about where Eddie Goldman should go in this draft. 6-foot-3, 330 pounds, he is just a massive run plugger. Obviously with Vince Wilfork no longer in New England, then I think that that fits in with an area of concern for the Patriots. He has the physicality, he has that length, he has the strength that you’re looking for.”

Rang explained that Goldman is “not a guy who was really impressive during the workout phase,” but plays a lot stronger than he tested.

“When you watch him on tape, and that of course is what is most important, then you’re very impressed by his strength, by his athletic ability, to be able to move down the line of scrimmage and take on multiple blockers. I think he fits in really well with the defenses like New England’s, like Seattle’s, who are not just a traditional 3-4 or 4-3, they’re using more and more hybrid type of fronts.”
