MassDOT Announces I-93 Zakim Bridge Night Closures
BOSTON (CBS) - Expect some traffic problems on Interstate 93 north and south at Zakim Bridge starting Monday night.
Starting just before midnight, the Massachusetts Department of Transportation will be doing routine inspections of bridge towers and cables.
While the working is being done, I-93 north and south across the bridge will be closed until 5 a.m.
The nightly work will be happening through April 2.
Southbound drivers will be diverted at Exit 28 in Somerville and detoured off the highway at Rutherford Avenue. They can get back on the highway in the Haymarket area.
Northbound drivers will be diverted at Exit 26 (Storrow Drive) and detoured off the highway at Leverett Circle. They can return to the highway at Leverett Circle.
