Brandon Browner's New Year's Resolution: Winning The Super Bowl

BOSTON (CBS) -- Around this time of year, it's a common occurrence for folks to make grand plans. Whether it be losing weight, cutting out some negatives, reading more books or anything else, 'tis the season for new year's resolutions.

Yet for Brandon Browner, a man who probably doesn't need to add "going to the gym" or "losing a few pounds" to his to-do list, he wants to accomplish just one thing in 2015.

"I want to win it all, to be honest," Browner said when asked for his new year's resolution. "That's the only thing that matters to me, is winning it all. If I win it all, I think everything will fall into place."

Browner, 30, is technically a defending Super Bowl champion, as his Seattle Seahawks won last season's championship. Yet Browner, who was suspended at the time, had to watch on TV as his teammates steamrolled the Broncos at MetLife Stadium.

"It was the toughest thing ever," Browner told WBZ-TV's Steve Burton earlier this season. "I had my family over and we all watched it. It was hard for me to sit down with them and watch it, because they enjoyed it. They know my teammates so they were screaming when they made plays. It was tough for me. I watched it in my room all by myself; I couldn't be down there with my family, screaming for my teammates, knowing that I should have been out there."

This year, Browner has the chance to be out there to help his team win it all. The Patriots enter the playoffs as the No. 1 seed in the AFC, guaranteeing them home-field advantage in the divisional round and the AFC Championship Game, if they advance.
