SHERBORN (CBS) – A Sherborn nanny is accused of assaulting the three-year-old boy she was hired to care for.

Mareike Arbeiter, 23, was arrested Wednesday and charged with one count of assault and battery.

Prosecutors say they have video evidence from a nanny cam set up by the family.

Arbeiter’s lawyer says his client is accused of grabbing and pushing the child, but he says the alleged victim has no visible injuries.

Neighbors are upset. They tell WBZ-TV the street is very quiet and people are friendly.

Arbeiter was ordered held on $2,000 cash bail and ordered to stay away from the alleged victim and the family. She is due back in court next month.
