Ryan Seacrest Studio Opens At Boston Children's Hospital

BOSTON (CBS) - He's the hardest working man in Hollywood, bringing his talents and heart to the red carpet at Boston Children's Hospital Friday.

Ryan Seacrest made the trip here to launch his eighth Seacrest Studio.

The new, state-of-the-art facility at Boston Children's is intended to be a creative outlet for patients.

"I wanted to do something that would inspire and encourage and enlighten and something I knew how to do and I have spent a lot of years in these studios," Seacrest told reporters.

And he didn't come alone.

The event also featured Usher, Disney star Shawn Mendes and country singing duo The Swan Brothers.

"You know, if I'm going to be going through this, it's nice they're giving up their time to give us this incredible experience," patient Fernando Morales told WBZ-TV.

To kick off the event, Seacrest hosted an actual radio show from the studio with a few patients as his guests.

Two more facilities are in the works, with an ultimate plan of creating the first pediatric network of entertainment and stars, just for kids.

"This is something I feel like I could do to provide a little bit of fun. a little diversion from the tough stuff that happens in hospitals and this is one of the leading ones in the world. We've always wanted to be here," Seacrest said.
