Leominster Middle School Concession Stand Ransacked Twice In One Week

LEOMINSTER (CBS) – The concession stand at a Leominster middle school was broken into twice in one week, with several pieces of equipment and about $500 in food stolen, according to police.

Leominster police said in a Facebook post that the concession stand at Samoset Middle School was broken into on October 14 for the first time. Officers were called to the school for a second time on October 20, and according to police the incidents were "almost identical."

During each incident, police said a garage door was pried open and the concession stand was ransacked.

A hot dog steamer, two coffee machines, an electric heater, a fan, a ceramic table, a small refrigerator and about $500 in food and beverages were all taken from the building.

Police said during the second incident a resident in the area noticed two younger males leaving the woods at about 3 p.m. on October 20 pulling a dolly with the refrigerator on it. The duo left the area in a silver pickup truck similar to a Toyota Tacoma.

One of the suspects is described as a white man while the second appeared to have darker skin.

"Let's catch these two as they have not only damaged school property, but they ripped off all the kids who participate in the Leominster Youth Soccer program," Leominster police said on their Facebook page.

Residents with information are asked to call Leominster police at (978) 534-8419.
