Wrentham police Detective Lt. William McGrath told WBZ-TV’s Jim Smith that early indications are that the cyclist may have been blinded by solar glare and took a turn before colliding with the truck which was traveling in the opposite direction.
The cyclist, identified as a 48-year-old Scott Fleming of Wrentham, was struck as he was taking a left turn onto Jenks Street.
After the collision, the small dump truck careened into the woods and sheared off a telephone pole before smashing into a tree.READ MORE: Powerball Jackpot Climbs To $545M For Monday Drawing
