Patriots Blog: Big Night At Gillette

FOXBORO (CBS) -- This is the night that many Patriots fans look forward to, as the team will welcome the newest member of the Hall of Fame and then hit the practice field for season ticket holders.

First up, Ty Law will take his place next to the greats of the team at 4:30 pm -- an event that is free and open to the public. I spoke to Ty earlier this week when he was getting fitted for his Hall of Fame jacket, and he's obviously pumped for the honor.

"This has solidified the fact that I'm a Patriot for life," Law told me. "The last jersey that I'm donning is a Patriots red Hall of Fame jersey."

The ceremony is always a lot of fun, and many of Ty's teammates in that unbelievable Patriots defense will be in attendance, including Rodney Harrison, Lawyer Milloy and Otis Smith.

After all the fun, the current players will head inside the stadium and practice in front of the season ticket holders. This is always a fun night for the players and fans alike. The fans get a chance to see the players up close and under the lights and then afterwards, the player hit the stands and sign some autographs.

Practice gets started at 7 pm, and it will be interesting to see who the fan favorites are this year. Gronk surpassed Brady last year and, all of a sudden, Julian Edelman's star is also moving up. Revis and Browner, I'm sure, will get a fair share of fan support this evening as well.
