Cool Boston Jobs: Boston Harbor Pilot Boat Captain.

Every so often I run across someone with a cool job, and when I do, I like to share that job with you. Watch video.

Shawn Kelley, a Boston Harbor pilot boat captain with Boston Pilots invited me to ride along on a specially designed boat and pick up two harbor pilots from moving ships as they exited the harbor. Shawn even let me drive the boat during this tricky maneuver. It takes some practice to get your boat to kiss a massive moving ship and hold it there long enough for the pilot to climb down a flimsy rope ladder onto your bow.
