BOSTON (CBS) - Boston police are investigating an overnight shooting in the South End that sent a 17-year-old boy to the hospital.

Police say the shooting happened outside a party around 1:50 a.m. at 5 Village Court, which is part of a large apartment complex.

The victim was in the parking lot when he was shot. One neighbor said a crowd of fifty or sixty people had spilled out into the parking lot right before the shooting.

The victim was taken to Boston Medical Center. His injuries are described as life threatening.

There is no word on any arrests, but officers used buses to transport dozens of people to police headquarters to be interviewed.
