BEVERLY (CBS) — WHDH-TV’s news helicopter was lifting off from Beverly Airport when it came crashing back down Wednesday morning.

According to Channel 7, the helicopter got about 20 feet in the air, veered to the right and made a hard landing.

No one was hurt but the tail of Sky 7 snapped off.

The station says they will now rely on a backup helicopter.
