Phantom Gourmet: Hops N Scotch In Brookline

BOSTON (CBS) -- Dining and drinking. Comfortable and casual. Tasting and toasting. That's what you'll find at Hops N Scotch.

A two-floor restaurant and bar on Beacon Street in Coolidge Corner, Brookline, Hops N Scotch is a hip and happening place where you can find everything from mac and cheese to Mint Juleps.

They have about 120 Scotch whiskey and Bourbons on the  menu as well as 40 beers on tap and 40 and a bottle.

The kitchen here serves tapas-inspired snacks and chef-inspired comfort foods. Some popular dishes include the super crispy fried chicken, an ultra-fresh roasted beet salad, and an insanely impressive burger stacked with melted house made pimento cheese, thick-cut bacon, and a peppery fried egg.

And of course, there are lots and lots of choices if you're looking for something smooth to help wash it down.
