Services Set For Franklin Children Suffocated In Hope Chest

FRANKLIN (AP) — The two Franklin children who died after becoming trapped inside a hope chest in their home are being laid to rest.

A funeral Mass for 8-year-old Lexi Jane Munroe and 7-year-old Sean Allan Munroe II is scheduled for Monday at St. Mary's Church.

Calling hours are Sunday at the Ginley Funeral Home.

Authorities say the pair became trapped Jan. 12 in a chest that had been recalled because it could only be opened from the outside. The deaths have been ruled accidental.

The siblings' obituary says Lexi loved to dance and sing and play with her doll, Julia. Sean loved to play with his Lego Star Wars, to go fishing and to eat Fluff.

They are survived by their parents and three sisters.
