BOSTON (CBS) --- Pauline Alighieri Executive Director of the Friends of Mel Foundation, is dedicated to showing cancer patients "the art of living."

Conference To Show Cancer Patients 'The Art Of Living'
Alighieri says the foundation helps on the emotional journey cancer survivors embark upon from diagnosis to treatment to beyond.
"We feel that cancer patients have already been through so much and we wanted this day to be kind of a gift," Alighieri told WBZ NewsRadio 1030.
She invites people to 'The Art of Living--Life Beyond Cancer " conference this weekend.
The 2013 Conference will be held on Sat., November 2, at the Marriott Hotel in Quincy.
The conference aims to address some unspoken concerns about cancer such as how patient's relationships will be affected, confidence without hair and getting back to work.
"We are trying to provide a place where people really understand the experience the cancer survivor has," she said.
