Felger & Mazz: October 25, 2013

Hour 1

Felger and Massarotti opened the afternoon discussing last night's Boston Red Sox 4-2 Game 2 World Series loss to the St. Louis Cardinals. After a couple mishaps last night, the series is now tied 1-1. Is it time to sit Jonny Gomes to get Daniel Nava some playing time? Jerry Thornton or Barstool Sports joined Mike and Tony to discuss the New England Patriots, last week's overtime call against the New York Jets, and Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins. Wrapping up the hour, the guys got back into last night's Sox game.

In Hour 2, Felger and Mazz continue to breakdown the Sox loss in Game 2 to the Cardinals. How are the Cardinals developing their young pitchers so quickly? Did John Farrell do anything last night worth a second guess? Patriots radio play-by-play announcer Bob Socci joined Mike and Tony to talk some Pats and answer five questions. Getting back into the Red Sox, should Will Middlebrooks be in there for Xander Bogaerts? Finally, the guys take a quick break from the Sox talk to discuss the Boston Bruins and last night's 2-1 win over the San Jose Sharks.

Hour 2

During Hour 3 of Felger and Massarotti, the guys continued to talk Sox and Clay Buchholz. Buchholz will be replaced by Jake Peavy for Game 3 due to arm fatigue. Buchholz is scheduled to throw a side session today. Will Buchholz be ready for Game 4? Is it time for Daniel Nava to get the starts in left field? Has the bubble burst on Craig Breslow? Between the Sox and Cardinals, whose bullpen is more likely to hold up?

Hour 3

In the fourth and final hour, Felger and Mazz are still discussing the Boston Red Sox. After last night's 4-2 loss to the Cardinals, the World Series is now tied at 1-1. Could Clay Buchholz miss his Game 4 start after being scratched from Game 3 due to arm fatigue? Should backup catcher David Ross be playing over Jarrod Saltalamacchia? What are the expectations on Games 3 and 4 this weekend? Finally to wrap up the week, we here from Mad Mike and Squeaky Mazz in the Final Word with Marc Bertrand.
