Neil Patrick Harris Talks To WBZ-TV About Hosting Emmys On CBS

BOSTON (CBS) – Neil Patrick Harris will host the Emmys for a second time Sunday night and he's excited about it.

Harris, a "How I Met Your Mother" star, said you can expect "nice pieces of entertainment spread throughout the show."

"I may tell a joke," he told WBZ-TV's Paula Ebben.

Carrie Underwood and Elton John will perform as well.

Don't expect Harris to wear anything unusual on stage.

"I have always been very anti-host wearing silly outfits," he said. "I want to wear a sharp suit and look hot."

So will his "How I Met Your Mother" co-stars drop in?

"The gang will be represented, but I won't say how," he said.
