Fall Fashion For Back To School

BOSTON (CBS) --- The start of the new school year also means new clothes.

Aricia Symes-Elmer of Shift Your Style was in the WBZ-TV studio this weekend to share some new looks for fall.

Symes-Elmer says she has ways to stretch a dollar so your child can wear looks they love.

For the elementary age kids, Shift Your Style went to Crewcuts by J.Crew.

They saved money by hitting the store website to find coupon codes that can be used in-store.

The key to dressing younger kids is to think about color coordination.

It's best to start with your kid's favorite color and build around that, she says.

For middle school age kids more aware of brands, Shift Your Style went to T.J. Maxx.

There, they found a Lucky Brand shirt for $17, originally $44.

Now what's cool for high schoolers?

Symes-Elmer says to do your homework -- find the flash sales that are only good for certain times, like Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and put it on the calendar.

Extra credit for signing up for store credit cards that give you early access to deals.
