Taj Boston's Door Man Retiring After 66 Years On Job

BOSTON (CBS) - For 66 years, Norman Pashoian has served as the door man at the former Ritz Carlton, which is now the Taj Hotel on the Public Garden. It was the first job he ever had.

On Thursday, the city of Boston threw a retirement party for him.

"I loved what I was doing, and this building… I have a lot of memories. When I first came here, I was 19 years old. So I'm going to miss it," he said.

While he'll miss the job, there are two things Pashoian says he will not miss: the traffic and trying to find a place to park.
