Police: Work Clothes Thwart Stripper's Effort To Hide Heroin
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (AP) — Springfield police say a passenger in a car that ran a red light tried desperately to hide some heroin, but because she was a stripper who had just left work, she wasn't wearing enough clothes to conceal the drugs.
Officers pulled over a car at 3 a.m. Friday after watching it roll through a red light. Police saw the passenger try to hide something on her body.
Police say when she got out of the vehicle, 47 packets of heroin fell to the ground.
Twenty-year-old Tiffany Evans of Albany, N.Y, was arrested and charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute. She is scheduled to be arraigned later Friday.
Police could not say whether she had a lawyer.
The driver of the car was ticketed for running the light.
