Duxbury Offers Refunds On Beach Stickers

DUXBURY (CBS) – Town leaders in Duxbury are offering a refund for anyone who bought a beach sticker before June 3rd.

Sticker holders demanded their money back after nesting piping plovers forced the town to close off most of the beach until July 15.

The town says the refund is a one-time deal, and once beachgoers are refunded, they will lose beach access for the rest of the summer.

The stickers, sold by the town of Duxbury, range in price from $80 to $160 a year for residents and are $295 for non-residents.
