10-Year-Old Drowning Victim Identified By Police

WELLESLEY (CBS) – Police have identified the 10-year-old boy who died after being pulled from Morses Pond, Saturday.

Alexander Glennon of Manchester New Hampshire, was reported missing by family members and town recreation staff in the area of the pond.

Glennon and his family had been visiting friends in Wellesley, police said.

Wellesley fire fighters Chris Larsen and Scott Smith, found Glennon in the water approximately 30 feet from shore.

He was taken to Newton Wellesley Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

This was the second weekend Morses Pond was open to the public.

Wellesley Police said there were life guards on duty when Glennon was reported missing.

The pond was closed Sunday as the investigation continued.
